In Yola Nigeria New AIG zone 3 assumes office







The statement noted that "the new AIG solicits the cooperation of the public and calls on them to be law abiding and confident in the security apparatus within the zone 3 command in the course of his administration.

Mr Lawan Tanko, the new Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of police in charge of Zone 3, Yola, comprising Adamawa, Gombe and Taraba states has assumed office.
A statement signed by the Zonal Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Hammanjoda Barka, in Yola on Thursday stated that until his appointment, Tanko was the AIG in-charge of zone 8 command headquarters, Lokoja.
The statement noted that "the new AIG solicits the cooperation of the public and calls on them to be law abiding and confident in the security apparatus within the zone 3 command in the course of his administration.''
The former AIG of the zone, Late Mohammed Jinjiri, passed away last month after a brief illness.
